Smithsonian Diggin' Up Dinosaurs T-Rex

Step into the world of paleontology with the Smithsonian Diggin’ Up Dinosaurs: T-Rex Kit, an interactive STEM excavation experience that lets kids uncover the fossilized remains of one of history’s most iconic predators. Using the included digging tools—a mallet, dowel and brush—children gradually carve away at the excavation block to reveal realistic fossil pieces. Once excavation is complete, young scientists assemble the discovered bones into a detailed 3D T-Rex skeleton, creating an impressive display piece that stands proudly on a shelf or desk. Designed for ages 8 and up, this kit encourages inquiry-based learning and exploration of prehistoric life, paleontological techniques and fossil formation. Perfect for classrooms, homeschool projects, birthday gifts or science fair exhibits, Smithsonian Diggin’ Up Dinosaurs turns curiosity into discovery and gives children a rewarding sense of accomplishment as they complete the dig-to-display process
