Smithey Ironware Sauce Pan, 1 Quart - Made in America

Smithey Ironware created this 1-quart cast iron saucepan with a custom glass lid to round out your collection and serve as the perfect sidekick for meals that call for sauces, roux, gravies, and more. Its depth makes it ideal for indulgent side dishes like butter-poached potatoes and fried green beans. The lid locks in warmth, allowing you to move seamlessly from stovetop to tableside to serve decadent confits, spicy chili crisps, or savory sauces to your guests. It’s a perfect addition to your Smithey kitchen and an essential companion when cooking. This saucepan comes pre-seasoned, meaning it’s ready to use right out of the box. To break it in, start with side dishes and rich sauces that incorporate butter or other fats. While it may seem like an ideal rice pot, we do not recommend using this saucepan for boiling water. We’re here to bust that myth and let you know that polished cast iron is easy to clean. Unlike rough cast iron, which allows food to get stuck in the crevices, polished cast iron like Smithey has a smooth surface that practically wipes clean. And, despite popular belief, you can use soap.
