Smith & Nephew DURAFIBER Ag PRO Alginate Dressing

Smith & Nephew DURAFIBER Ag PRO Alginate Dressing DURAFIBER Ag PRO is an absorbent wound dressing for people managing superficial or deep wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. Its vertical absorption helps contain fluid and protect the surrounding skin, while sustained silver release helps reduce a broad range of pathogens within the dressing. Features & Benefits Absorbs up to 12 times its weight in exudate to support effective fluid management. Directs absorption vertically to help limit fluid spread and minimize the risk of peri-wound maceration. Retains wound-exudate debris and bacteria within the fibre dressing for removal during dressing changes. Provides sustained silver release, with antimicrobial activity beginning to kill bacteria within four hours. Conforms closely to the wound bed, leaving minimal space where bacteria can grow. Suitable for leg, pressure and diabetic ulcers; traumatic and bleeding-prone wounds; surgical and post-operative wounds; debrided wounds; and donor-site partial-thickness burns.
