Smith Machine Rack Attachment

OverviewThe Smith Machine Rack Attachment turns your existing rack — Hydra, Manticore, 84" Light Commercial, or most 2.3"–3" racks — into a smooth, guided Smith machine without stealing a single extra inch of floor space. Sneaky, right? Pick the classic built-in Smith bar, or go BYOB (Bring Your Own Barbell) and run your favorite bar inside the guided rails. You get the safety and consistency of a Smith, plus the familiar feel of the bar you already know and love. More control, more confidence, fewer "please don't let this rep be the one that takes me out" moments. Recommended Set-Up: Mount the upper brackets to the top of your uprights & the lower brackets to your crossmembers (inside rack) or front foot stabilizers (outside rack). Brackets can be mounted to your uprights only, but a dropped bar could permanently damage the unit. Who It's For Beginners — Guided bar path builds confidence and reduces risk while learning core movements like squats, bench, and presses. Intermediate Lifters — Train heavy without a spotter, maintain consistent form, and use higher volume safely. Advanced Athletes — Use it for hypertrophy work, accessory lifting, pre-exhaust sets, and high-rep training where stability matters. Small-Space Home Gym Owners — Get full Smith machine functionality without dedicating 4–6 feet of floor space to a standalone machine. Couples / Households with Mixed Experience Levels — The fixed bar path makes lifting safer and more accessible for partners new to strength training. Rack Owners Who Don't Want to Replace Their Setup — Add a Smith machine to your existing rack — no need to buy a new cage or proprietary setup.
