Smith Bridge Road Blend

Smith Bridge Road Blend from Brandywine Coffee Roasters is a love letter to classic dark roast traditions. This South American blend marries dark-roasted Brazilian beans with medium-roasted Colombian for a cup that's rich, approachable, and remarkably smooth. Roasted in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Brandywine crafts this blend for coffee drinkers who want body and sweetness without the bite—a daily driver that works beautifully across multiple brew methods. Tasting NotesExpect a full-bodied cup with chocolate and caramel sweetness leading the charge. The dark Brazilian component brings molasses depth and a velvety mouthfeel, while the Colombian adds subtle brightness and structure. Low acidity makes this blend forgiving and gentle on the palate, with a clean, lingering finish that invites another sip. This is comfort coffee—familiar, satisfying, and exceptionally well-balanced. Brew MethodsSmith Bridge Road shines in pour over methods like Chemex and V60, where its full body and low acidity create a clean, sweet cup. Brandywine recommends a medium grind (14 on Baratza Encore/Virtuoso), 25g coffee to 400ml water at 202°F, with a 50ml bloom for one minute followed by pulse pours to 300ml over four minutes total. The blend also performs admirably as drip coffee for easy morning routines, and pulls rich, syrupy espresso shots for those who prefer their daily dose concentrated. French press brings out maximum body and chocolate notes.
