About Smilax Smilax, sometimes called greenbrier, is a woody vine with glossy leaves and twining tendrils. Designers prize it for length, flexibility, and the natural movement it brings to wreaths and installations. The vine will dry in place while keeping its graceful line, which makes it useful for long lived decorative work and for reusing with fresh or dried botanicals.
