Small Owl Talon Moon Ring.

A symbiosis of the moon & the magnificent night owl, inspired by my crescent formed from eagle talons. Here, life cast in sterling silver owl talons are married to form the shape of a crescent moon. It is paired with a bat bone ring band and hand oxidized to achieve my obsessive shade of stormy gray. Highlighted to reveal the bright luminous silver beneath. Steeped in mythology & magic, the crescent is my favorite shape of the lunar phases of the moon. resembling a horned moon, a glowing sickle in the darkness of the night sky. Taking the shape of the moon at the end and the beginning of her journey, it also represents the thinnest part of her revealed during her cycle. The crescent has also been associated with Diana, goddess of the hunt, the Egyptian goddess Isis as well as the Virgin Mary. The moon is known as feminine, potent energy. In alchemy, it is associated with silver. The owl has an interesting, contradictory place in lore. Like many other ominous birds are associated with the spirit realm and with having potent meditative qualities. Here, two smaller owl talons are sculpted to form a crescent moon, conjuring a nighttime aura for the owl is most alive at night. I'm suggesting a balance of sun and moon energy, as well as an ability to see spiritual truths, both in times of light and dark. As a talisman, this pieces holds the potent energies of both the moon and the owl.  In the tarot, it is associated with the High Priestess, the guardian of the unconscious, and urges you to look inward, with your third eye. The moon itself measures: -19mm tall -22mm wide ***IMPORTANT*** This jewel is handmade to order, just for you, with care and focus. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for creation before shipping.                    Visit the Policy Page to make an educated and informed purchase HERE.
