His face bares a focused yet content expression. His hands are held together performing the powerful Dhyana Mudra- a symbol of his journey for spiritual perfection (enlightenment). This mudra, also known as the Cosmic Mudra, is believed to be the one Buddha was performing the moment he attained enlightenment while seated underneath the Bodhi Tree. Although small in size, this outdoor Buddha statue certainly doesn't lack detail. You may notice his long drooping earlobes; these are symbol of The Buddha's former life in which, according to legend, he was born into a noble family as a prince. His earlobes had stretched after years of wearing luxurious, heavy earrings and serve as a symbol of his great compassion and abandonment of his lavish lifestyle in favor of the pursuit of enlightenment. The presence of this outdoor Buddha statue in your backyard or garden helps to bring peace, protection, and prosperity to your home. Place him near your favorite flowering plants or in your outdoor meditation space so he may bless them with his radiating positive energies. Your new Buddha garden ornament comes in Greystone finish.
