Small iron-glazed chawan

This small iron glazed chawan holds that rare balance between restraint and intensity—an object that feels both grounded in tradition and completely singular in presence. Its form is humble but deeply intentional. Slight irregularities in the rim and body speak to the hand that shaped it and the fire that finished it, where nothing is overly controlled, and everything is slightly alive. In the hand, it feels immediate and grounding—weighty in a way that encourages pause. We love it for its atmosphere. It doesn’t decorate a moment—it slows it down. A vessel made for ritual, but just as compelling left empty, holding light, shadow, and silence. Dimensions: 4" diameter | 2.75" height Materials: glazed stoneware. handmade in the us.
