Small Ceramic Ginkgo Planter, Blue

These ceramic vases are hand made in Italy, shaped after the natural curve of a ginkgo leaf. Blending decades-old Florentine and Tuscan pottery traditions with contemporary design, the talented artisans who make these vessels have been working for generations in the northern Italian village of Montelupo Fiorentino, near Tuscany. The form of this design nods to the gingko and is built in gentle layers that give it a sculptural, organic feel. Finished in a rich glaze, it has a clean look that fits just as easily in a traditional space as it does in something more modern. The size allows it to do double duty as a planter or vase.
