Slowmound Dwarf Mugo Pine

Slowmound Dwarf Mugo Pine offers year-round structure and reliable greenery in a naturally compact, dense form. With a size of just one to two feet tall and slightly wider in ten years, this tidy evergreen fits easily into small gardens, rockeries, and foundation beds. The growth habit is even and rounded without pruning, and the dark green needles stay fresh-looking through every season. Developed as part of the Iseli TRUdwarf® program, Slowmound has been selected for its uniform growth, rich color, and long-term landscape performance. Naturally compact, reliably uniform Slowmound grows slowly and steadily, reaching about one to two feet in height over ten years. Its low, mounded shape forms a rounded cushion of dark green foliage that looks refined and finished even in the smallest spaces. Easy-care structure with lasting impact This is a true no-fuss evergreen. It does not need trimming to stay neat, and the dense branching resists breakage in winter weather. Whether used as a specimen or grouped in low plantings, it brings dependable structure to the garden year-round. A standout in tight or tricky spots Its size and habit make it a great fit for rock gardens, small beds, or any location where space is limited. Use it along walkways, in courtyard gardens, or paired with stones and gravel for a clean, natural look that never feels overgrown. Holds its color in every season The short, dark green needles are soft to the touch and hold their color well through winter. This makes Slowmound an ideal choice for adding life to the garden in colder months, when other plants have gone dormant or lost their leaves.
