Emmelle Metallic Paisley Jacquard Cocktail Dress — Size Small

A richly textured statement dress from Emmelle, rendered in an intricate metallic jacquard of charcoal, black, bronze and antique gold. Oversized swirling paisley motifs move across the surface through contrasting woven textures, giving the fabric remarkable dimension and subtle shine. The sleeveless silhouette is sharply tailored through the bodice, waist and hip before finishing at a short hem. A center-back zipper and vent complete the fitted construction. Inside, the dress is fully lined in a deep burgundy satin-like fabric—a beautiful contrast to the darker metallic exterior. The original fiber-content and care label is no longer present, so the exact textile composition is unknown. Curator’s Note This is one of those pieces that gets better the closer you look. What initially reads as paisley reveals an entire landscape of texture—matte black, charcoal, bronze and flashes of antique gold all woven into the cloth. And then you turn it inside out and find that beautiful burgundy lining. That kind of finish matters. We’d skip the obvious “party dress” treatment entirely: sheer black tights, a severe little heel or tall boot, sculptural gold jewelry and nothing else competing with the fabric.
