The Skylar by Jon Renau is ideal for women seeking a natural-looking, medium-length everyday style with a virtually undetectable hairline. Its SmartLace® front blends seamlessly at the forehead, making it a strong choice for a wide range of face shapes. It suits both first-time wig wearers and experienced users looking for versatile, low-maintenance wear. Use our Face Shape Analyzer to see how Skylar looks on your face shape. How does the Skylar by Jon Renau fit and feel on the head? The Skylar fits an average cap size and features a SmartLace® front with a Single Monofilament top for lightweight, comfortable wear. The monofilament top allows each hair strand to move naturally, reducing pressure on the scalp throughout the day. If you're unsure whether average sizing is right for you, refer to our Jon Renau Wig Size Chart for precise measurements and a better fit. Can I heat-style the Skylar wig by Jon Renau? Yes — the Skylar by Jon Renau is made from Heat Resistant Synthetic fiber, meaning it can be styled with low-to-medium heat tools like flat irons and curling wands. This gives you real flexibility to change up your look beyond the out-of-the-box style. Always use a heat protectant and start at a lower temperature setting. Visit our Wig Fiber Guide for detailed heat styling tips specific to synthetic fiber wigs. How do I wash and care for the Skylar by Jon Renau? Wash the Skylar every 6–8 wears, or sooner if exposed to heavy product buildup or environmental factors. Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner formulated for synthetic wigs — Jon Renau care products are specifically designed to maintain the fiber integrity of styles like Skylar. Gently rinse in cool water, avoid rubbing, and allow it to air-dry on a wig stand to preserve the shape and SmartLace® front. How long will the Skylar by Jon Renau last with regular wear? With proper care, the Skylar by Jon Renau typically lasts 4–6 months with daily wear, and significantly longer if worn occasionally. Heat Resistant Synthetic fiber holds its style well but benefits from gentle handling and consistent maintenance. Avoiding excess heat, storing the wig on a stand, and using Jon Renau care products will help extend the lifespan and keep the SmartLace® front looking fresh and natural. Is the Skylar by Jon Renau a good option for women experiencing hair loss? Yes, the Skylar by Jon Renau is well-suited for women experiencing thinning hair or hair loss. The Single Monofilament top mimics the appearance of a natural scalp, while the SmartLace® front creates an undetectable hairline — both key features for medical wig wearers seeking discretion and confidence. The average-size cap also accommodates most head sizes comfortably. For added security, wig grip bands or adhesives can be used alongside this style.
