Skullbones Coin Pendant

This solid sterling silver Skulbones coin pendant is wax carved by hand and cast using the ancient process of Lost Wax casting. I then made a mold, which I can inject with wax and make wax copies of the Skull and Crossbones Coin and cast a lot of them for all y’all! Once cast, I clean them up, polish, texture and then oxidize the background and polish the skull and bones. Then I add a layer of Renassaince Wax to keep the patina as dark as possible for as long as possible. The oxidized patina will change with wear. These Skullbones Coin pendants are available alone or with a shiny or oxidized sterling silver cable chain in several lengths. These are so rad don’t just relegate them to necklace territory! Maybe your sweater needs a better zipper pull? Or your purse needs the Skull bling? These each come with a heavy jump ring so you can put them on just about anything with simple tools. This Skull & Crossbones Coin pendant is part of my Memento Mori Collection. Death, Decay, Corruption, and constant reminders of our own mortality wait around every corner. What can we do but recognize and even celebrate these as reminders to live our lives more fully? The Stoic Philosophers of antiquity wrote that one can only live one’s life fully in the present moment by meditating on death’s inevitability. This is the thought process celebrated by Memento Mori art. So here is your reminder to live life to the very fullest, and look super freakin cute to boot! 23mm Sterling Silver Pendant
