Skip Counting in Twos

Skip counting in twos ‌lays‌ ‌out‌ ‌the‌ ‌patterns‌ ‌fundamental‌ ‌to‌ ‌arithmetic.‌ ‌In‌ ‌these ‌self-directed‌ ‌homeschool workbook‌s, ‌students‌ ‌will‌ ‌internalize‌ ‌these‌ ‌patterns‌ ‌and‌ ‌pave‌ ‌the‌ ‌way‌ ‌to‌ ‌mastery‌ ‌over‌ numbers.‌ Skip counting in twos lays the foundation for evenness and oddness of a number, which will be important for skip counting in fours, sixes, and eights. In the Frog Pond, the student is first introduced to the idea that skip counting in twos skips every other number. On the Hundreds Boards, the student has the opportunity to put to practice what they learned in the Frog Pond. The boards start out easy with full color-coded guidance. The exercises are repeated with lesser guidance with the last exercises virtually unaided by visual cues. Blank and Printer Friendly Worksheets (PDF Download only) Blank Frog Ponds and Hundreds Boards are provided for exercises customized by you.
