Super soft t-shirt inspired by Mount Whittier Ski Area in West Ossipee, NH. Whittier opened in the late 1940s. Beginning with simple rope tows, the ski area later installed New Hampshire's second gondola lift in 1963. The iconic gondola crossed the busy Route 16 highway and had a separate base terminal from the ski slopes. Alongside skiing, Whittier also offered summer activities, including slides and bumper boats. The ski area closed in 1985 due to a lack of snow and snowmaking technology, which prevented it from competing with larger resorts nearby. The gondola towers and cables are still up today. 50/50 cotton-poly blend. Made and printed in the USA. Velvety Local Vyntage logo on right sleeve. This t-shirt is tag-less.
