SK076 Linear Air Track With Data Logging

Linear Air Track With Data Logging It is used for study of frictionless motion, elastic and inelastic collisions, velocity, acceleration, conservation of momentum etc. In the present setup, a triangular section aluminium alloy track, length 200cm, with two row’s of air holes through which air emerge forming air cushion on which the vehicles float. The vehicles show linear motion under virtually frictionless condition. Supported on three adjustable feet. At one end of track an air inlet tube connection is given. Supplied with accessories. Features: Accessories simply plug into the ends of vehicle. The magnet on buffers are identically polarised so they will repel producing elastic collisions between two vehicles. Interrupter cards. These are for interrupting light gates for timing applications. Facilitates the study of mechanics. Linear motion under frictionless condition. Precise and accurate data. Computer connectivity. Objectives: To study the linear motion under virtually frictionless conditions. To study the elastic and inelastic collision. To study the concept of velocity. To study the concept of accelerations. To study the conservation of momentum & energy. To study the dependency of mass ratio to kinetic energy Technical Data: Dataloger : Up to 100K SPS, memory capacity 800Ksample, Li polymer rechargeable battery, 6 in-built sensor, 4 ext. sensor port (60+ sensor available), connectivity port micro USB, 90.2 x 90.2 x 20mm(LxWxH), 120gm Photogate Sensor : Range: 0 to 3 V., Detector rise time: 180ns., Detector fall time: 180ns, Parallax error: For an object passing within 1 cm of the detector, with a velocity less than 10 m/s, the difference between the true and effective length is less than 1 mm Infrared source: Peak at 875 nm.
