Sisyrinchium striatum, Yellow-Eyed Grass or Satin Flower

From Chile and Argentina, this taller Sisyrinchium sports plentiful pretty pale yellow blooms the length of its many stalks. Sharp drainage is ideal for best growth but it does like consistently moist soil in full sun. After blooming, the leaves might start to yellow; you can cut them back to 6 inches tall to tidy & refresh. They will spread over time and will lightly re-seed, so cut blooms off before seeds start to set if you want to limit this lovely but assertive flower. Mature size: 1–2 feet tall & wide Minimum temperature: -20° F
