SIR/MADAM Stone Book Weight

The stone book is an object of American fold art dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. Often embellished with decorative motifs and depicting reverent words or symbols, they came in a range of sizes, and were given as tokens of affection. We carve our large-scale versions from heavy blocks of white and gray marble, resulting in tomes that are ideally suited as bookends, door stops, or the grandest of paperweights. Formidable as they are, consider having one engraved to make a statement that’s truly carved in stone.
