A Sine Wave Filter Provides Clean Power Output for Quieter, More Reliable Motor Operation. Necessary for well pump installs with wire runs of 800+ ft. Electronic drives, whether they're Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), inverters, soft starters, or industrial controllers, work by switching power on and off rapidly. This switching creates electrical noise as an unavoidable side effect of how these systems operate. The result is that your motor hums, buzzes, or whines constantly. The motor also runs hotter than it should because the noisy electrical power creates additional stress. Over time, this electrical stress wears down your motor and equipment much faster than normal operation would. This problem becomes especially critical with very long cable runs exceeding 800 feet, where electrical noise and signal degradation intensify significantly and require a sine wave filter to maintain proper system performance. A sine wave filter, also known as a sinusoidal filter, cleans up that electrical output by converting the choppy switching waveform into smooth, clean sinusoidal power. The result is that your motor runs noticeably quieter and cooler, operating much more efficiently. Your motor lasts longer because it no longer has to endure the stress of poor power quality. Wether you're using it as a VFD filter, or to mitigate stress from long wire runs, installation is simple: follow our full-color manual to wire the device between your power source and motor. Have questions or concerns? Our US-Based support team is standing by to help you before, during, and after your install. Available in sizes for 0.75 to 20 kW systems. Core Material: Aluminum Voltage: 230/460VAC We recommend mounting this device in a weatherproof enclosure to protect it from moisture, dust, and accidental contact. The Current specification for RPS Submersible Pump Motors can be found on page 4 of this spec sheet. DO NOT USE SERVICE FACTOR AMPS, CURRENT MAX, OR STARTING AMPS SPECIFICATIONS TO SIZE YOUR SINE WAVE FILTER.
