Sims - Nub Snowboard 2026

Switch-Ready Precision with a Powder Punch The Nub blends innovative design with all-terrain versatility, featuring a Long Nose Twin shape that combines the look of a directional board with the balance of a twin tip. Its progressive sidecut ensures smooth, controlled turns, while the traditional camber and optimized stance lock you into the board’s sweet spot for precision and power. Key Features: Twin Tip Design: Despite its directional appearance, the twin tip shape and balanced sidecut make it perfect for riding and landing switch without the unpredictability of traditional directional boards. Long Nose for Powder Performance: Provides ample float for deep snow while maintaining excellent stability. Traditional Camber: Ideal for riders who demand energy, edge hold, and pop across all types of terrain. A favorite of SIMS team riders Scott Blum, and Shuhei Sato, the Nub is a versatile powerhouse that thrives in powder, park, and everything in between. 145.5, 148.5, 151.5, 153.5W, 156.5, 158.5W, 161 Bend: Traditional Camber Shape: Long Nose Twin Wood Core: MOD 4 Core Profile: Twin Wave Form Base: Premium Racing Tip Tech: Regular Tip Fiberglass: Tri-Tex Layer Strings: I Carbon Tech Specs MOD 4 construction features a blend of poplar, bamboo, and Paulownia wood with thin bands of bamboo wood running along the edges for increased edge hold and stability at speed. SIMS Twin Wave Form technology takes core construction one step beyond by thickening the core under the binding hole patterns, resulting in greater shock absorption and quicker edge-to-edge response from the slight increase in leverage.  The NUB uses Tri-Tex fiberglass, SIMS's most advanced, high-end matrix, and a 50mm wide strip of I Carbon. This fiberglass/carbon combo increases power and pop, provides smooth rebound out of the turn, and is extremely durable. Sliding on SIMS high density, high-speed Premium Racing Base, this board is a rocket. Available in 7 sizes to rule it all.  Traditional Camber A single convex arc between the board’s contact points ensures predictable edge hold, load, and rebound as pressure is exerted and expelled throughout the rider’s turn. MOD 4 A unique blend of poplar, bamboo, and Paulownia wood in a balanced array, make this Core lighter and provide increased repulsion, increased strength, and a lively feel.  Twin Wave Form In accordance with the position of the hole pattern and the camber, the thickness of the core surface is partially adjusted to create a unique flex, enhancing shock absorption and control. Premium Racing This base utilizes a high-density, high-speed base material chosen for its molecular weight, which delivers unrivaled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax permeability.  Regular Tip A traditional construction that features full wood core content from tip-to-tail for smooth-flexing stability and durability. Tri-Tex Our most advanced matrix is a 3-way layup that combines Light fiberglass at 0º, 45º, and 90º degrees, ensuring unquestionable pop, rebound, flex, and torsion in our highest performance boards. I Carbon A 50 mm carbon stringer provides lightweight rigidity to improve pop and power in all environments.
