The Simplicity Freedom is a full-size upright with no cord on it. You pick it up, you clean the whole floor, you put it back — no plug, no outlet hunting, no cord wrapped around a table leg. This one is a refurbished unit at $499 instead of $699, and it left our bench with a new brush roller, a new belt and a new battery in it. Read this before you buy — it is not a new machine This is a used Simplicity Freedom, sold as one unit only. It has minor scuffs on the body. Everything that wears out has been replaced with new: the brush roller, the belt and the 44-volt battery. It has been completely taken apart, cleaned, sanitized, reassembled and run before going on the shelf. If you want a factory-sealed box instead, the brand-new Simplicity Freedom S10CV is right here. What you are actually getting for $499 The three parts of a Freedom that wear out are the battery, the brush roller and the belt. All three in this machine are new. Bought separately from us they come to $277.99 for the battery, $45.99 for the brush roller and $14.99 for the belt — $338.97 of new parts, already fitted, inside a $499 vacuum. That is the whole argument for buying this one. A new 44-volt battery Not a tired one. The battery is the expensive part of any cordless machine and the part that decides how long it lives — this one starts from zero. Up to 50 minutes per charge, and about two and a half hours to fill it back up. A sealed HEPA bag, not a dust cup The Freedom uses a self-sealing charcoal-infused HEPA media bag. You pull the tab, the bag shuts itself, and the dirt goes in the trash without a cloud coming back at you. That matters more than anything else if somebody in the house has allergies. 11 pounds you can carry upstairs The body is ABS plastic — the same stuff construction hard hats are made from. It is light because it is thin and strong, not because it is flimsy. There is a carry handle on it for the stairs. Refurbished or brand new? Freedom S10CV (this one) $499.00 Best value if a few scuffs don’t bother you Freedom S10CV, brand new $699.99 Condition Used, minor scuffs on the body Factory sealed, unmarked Battery, brush roller, belt All three brand new All three brand new Manufacturer warranty Call us — coverage differs on a used unit Full Simplicity warranty How many we have One In stock Price $499.00 $699.99 They clean identically — same motor, same battery, same bag, same 11 pounds. You are choosing between $200 in your pocket and a machine with no marks on it that carries the full factory warranty. If this is going in a front hall where people see it, buy new. If it is going in a closet and coming out to clean, buy this one. Where the Freedom fits in your house Stairs and split levels — nothing to unplug halfway up, and it weighs 11 pounds Homes with few outlets — older houses where you end up dragging a cord across two rooms Quick daily passes — grab it, do the kitchen and the hall, put it back in under five minutes Allergy households — the sealed HEPA bag keeps what it picks up Second floors and apartments — carry it up once, it lives there It is a real upright, not a stick vacuum. If you want something smaller and lighter that hangs on a wall, look at the Simplicity S67 cordless stick instead. If you want this same machine in Riccar’s version, that is the Riccar R10CV SupraLite Cordless, and the commercial version is the CleanMax Zoom ZM-800. Light marks on the plastic body, the kind a machine picks up being moved around. Nothing cracked, nothing missing, nothing that affects how it cleans. If you want to know exactly where they are before you spend the money, call 888-565-6163 and we will walk over and look at it with you on the phone. Is the battery really new, or just charged up? New. We fitted a new 44-volt pack, not the one that came in with the machine. That is a $277.99 part on its own, and it is the reason a used cordless vacuum is usually a bad buy and this one isn’t. What warranty comes with it? Simplicity’s factory warranty covers new machines, so it does not carry over to a refurbished unit the same way. Call 888-565-6163 before you order and we will tell you exactly what is covered on this one. We would rather you knew up front. What bags does it take, and how often? Type SLH — Simplicity Freedom S10 HEPA bags, six to a pack. In an average home that is roughly one bag every four to six weeks; in a house with a shedding dog, sooner. Can I get a second battery so it never stops? Yes. A spare battery and a second charger are both here. With two packs you swap one in and keep going — that is how people with big houses run these. Will it be gone by the time I call? Possibly — there is one. Refurbished machines at this price do not sit here long. Call 888-565-6163 and we will hold it while you decide. Not sure it’s the right machine? Call 888-565-6163 and tell us what your floors are and how big the house is. We have sold Simplicity for years and we will tell you honestly if a different one suits you better — there are more of them on our Warehouse Deals page.
