Simple, Relational Disciple Making: Ancient Ways for Modern Times

Simple, Relational Disciple Making is a unique book in many ways. It's a book about how God can use common, ordinary followers of Jesus in everyday circumstances to advance His Kingdom. The book contains many real-life examples and impact stories of changed lives and even transformed communities.  Ancient ways for modern times (concepts and principles of orality) will inspire the reader to consider the most effective ways that people have learned and communicated from the beginning of time. Even today, the majority of the world's population are considered oral learners, by necessity or by preference. The numerous stories and examples throughout the book support the idea that the orality movement is changing the face of missions around the world.   The author's spiritual journey and experiences over the past five decades will help the reader to realize that common, ordinary believers can be effective communicators of the gospel and disciple makers. Readers will gain a greater awareness of the possibilities of advancing the cause of Christ in a wide verity of circumstances. They will also be challenged and motivated to live more godly lives and be faithful witnesses.   The book brings a wealth of knowledge about the work of Christ, His presence in our lives and the creative work of the Holy Spirit. Biblical, understandable and reproducible are key themes throughout the book. Scripture engagement and spiritual formation have become important topics of discussion in recent days. Orality and oral art forms are also becoming topics of discussion among church, ministry and mission leaders. These are all addressed in the book.   Readers will gain a greater awareness of how God is at work around the world and how each of us can enter into the redemptive activities of the Holy Spirit. Simplicity and reproducibility are key factors that make this a unique and powerful book.
