Simms Bulkley Insulated Wading Jacket

The Bulkley Insulated Wading Jacket from Simms is the ultimate cold weather wading jacket. Armored with a 2 layer Gore-Tex shell, and insulated with 100 grams of ice melting PrimaLoft® Silver insulation throughout the body of the jacket, and 60 grams of insulation throughout the sleeves, collar, and hood. This jacket will keep you warm and dry in the coldest and harshest storms, without restricting body movement. The key to staying warm while out in the field is to stay dry, and have a good layering system that breathes and allows moisture to work its way out, and not be trapped. For a Gore-Tex insulated jacket, the Bulkley breathes exceptionally well. The Bulkley jacket is the perfect outer layer when the temps drop and the atmospheric river unleashes its rathe. Two large hand warmer pockets sit high on the jacket, so you can keep your hands warm and dry during a deep wade. And when you do find yourself wading past the bottom of the jacket, don't worry because the Gore-Tex is wrapped around to the inside of the jacket to keep the insulation from getting wet. The Bulkley's two large chest pockets accommodate fly boxes, sink tips wallets, leaders, tippet spools, extra shooting heads, and anything else you might want to have with you. Like a cold beer, or some hot coffee. When you warm up on the hike in, drop your gloves or beanie in the stretchy mesh pocket on the inside of the jacket until you need them again. The sleeves on the Bulkley jacket have a neoprene inner cuff that'll keep the majority of water from creeping in and soaking your sleeves, especially when handling and releasing fish. If you're looking for a bombproof wading jacket for cold weather, this is it.
