Sim HEADS

SimWorks is proud to announce SimHEADS by Tangeseiki, a premium headset developed in collaboration with one of Japan’s most respected precision component manufacturers. Based on Tangeseiki’s Classic model—the most durable and precise offering in the Technoglide series—SimHEADS is custom-specified to meet SimWorks’ performance and durability standards. A bicycle does not turn simply by changing the direction of its wheels; it turns by tilting. This process, known as counter-steering, relies on the headset to accurately translate subtle rider input into controlled motion. SimHEADS is designed to support this critical interface, enabling smooth, precise steering that feels immediate and intuitive. Tangeseiki manufactures its own bearings in-house, a rarity in modern bicycle component production. The stainless steel bearings used in SimHEADS feature machining accuracy of ±0.004mm and mirror-polished raceways. Combined with an angular contact bearing structure, this results in exceptional rotational smoothness, durability, and long-term performance under load. Unlike conventional headsets that rely on cost-saving 6000-series aluminum for non-rotating components, SimHEADS utilizes A7075-T6 aluminum for the crown race and top cap, matching the material used throughout the rest of the assembly. This material choice delivers approximately double the tensile and yield strength, improving durability while maintaining a consistent, high-quality finish across all components. SimHEADS will launch initially in common 1-1/8" size format, with additional standards planned. The product is intended for riders who value precise steering feel, long-term reliability, and components manufactured without compromise.   [SPEC] Material Aluminum Finish: Silver, Black Internal Diameter: 1-1/8" (Φ28.6mm) Manufactured: Made in Japan
