Silvertip Tetra (Tank-Bred)

To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air. Silvertip Tetras are one of the more popular nano fish due to their unique coloration and schooling behavior. They have a metallic sheen on their bodies with silver tips on their fins that stands out in any aquarium.  Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank. Silvertip Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at: Our Tank Water Parameters PH: 7.2 to 7.5 GH: 7 to 8 KH: 3 to 4 TDS: 180 to 250 Temp: 72 to 75 We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
