Lotus Clip (Mala Counter, Nepal)

This Tibetan-style mantra counter is used with malas or prayer beads to keep track of mantra recitation and accumulation. In certain Vajrayana practices, practitioners commit to accumulating large numbers of mantras or prayers, such as 10,000, 100,000, or even a million repetitions. This counter is designed to help maintain focus and precision during these dedicated recitations. There are two traditional types of mantra counters: one featuring a pair of tassels, each with 10 beads (often with a mini vajra on one strand and a mini bell on the other) used for tracking 100s or 1000s of accumulations, and the clip-style counter, which is used for counting 10,000s of recitations. This particular counter is the clip style, ideal for long-term practices where large volumes of recitations are involved.
