Wishfulfilling Jewel Clip (Mala Counter, Nepal)

This Tibetan-style mantra counter is designed for use with malas or prayer beads to track mantra recitation and accumulation. In Vajrayana practices, practitioners often commit to accumulating large numbers of mantras, such as 10,000, 100,000, or even a million repetitions of a specific mantra. This counter helps keep track of that progress, ensuring accurate count and focus. There are two primary types of traditional mantra counters: one with a pair of tassels, each containing 10 beads (often with a mini vajra on one strand and a mini bell on the other) for counting 100s or 1000s of repetitions, and the clip-style counter, which is used for counting 10,000s. This particular counter is the clip style, offering a more streamlined approach for large-scale recitation practices. Symbolism & Meaning A key tool in serious mantra practice, this counter serves as both a practical and symbolic aid to maintaining focus and commitment in one's spiritual journey. The clip design is particularly suited for those tracking substantial mantra recitations, aligning with the disciplined nature of the practice.
