Silver Needle Jasmine

It is a tea loved both at home and abroad. The production of authentic premium Jasmine tea is very labor intensive. Premium tea leaves are picked and processed in early spring. The finished tea is then stored away to be used as the base tea with the jasmine flowers that bloom later in the summer. High-grade Jasmine tea like the Silver Needle Jasmine is made in August of each year when the jasmine flowers are most fragrant.  The base tea is brought out from storage to be scented by the fragrant jasmine buds. Each round of scenting takes 12 hours, plus more time for the shifting and drying of the leaves following each round of scenting. The Silver Needle Jasmine undergoes eight rounds of scenting over a span of a few weeks. As a result, the fragrance of this jasmine tea is intense (yet subtle), natural and long lasting.
