Silver Mountains (canvas wrap)

The original Silver Mountains  was created with a background entirely made with imitation silver leaf.  The ground below the mountains was textured first and the sky has the texture of the canvas weave peeking through it.  The clouds and the water feature under the mountains were rendered using acid oxidized copper paint to make it patina. I knew when I did the acid over the aluminum leaf it would eat away some of the metal so I painted it the background black and it comes through in spots reminiscent of an antique mirror. * Brian Silver Mountains is a one of a kind hand embellished reproduction using our raised  “Molten Metals” process. This added dimension makes it look like the original but at a fraction of the cost. The metal is then antiqued and varnish is applied to the entire surface.  Printed on a ready to hang 1.5" deep canvas, the edges are gallery wrapped in black so there's no need to frame! Due to the handcrafted nature of this artwork, each piece may have subtle differences. Size:  24"H x 30"W 30"H x 40"W Also available as a 16"H x 20"W photo print. Click here for details>.
