Silver Fox Mangave

Silver Fox Mangave (Mangave 'Silver Fox') is a hybrid succulent that crosses the bold leaf form of agave with the faster growth and softer texture of manfreda. It produces low, symmetrical rosettes with silvery-green leaves marked by subtle spotting, making it a reliable choice for dry gardens, containers, or mixed succulent plantings. This perennial handles heat and drought well once established, and its compact rosette habit suits both in-ground beds and patio containers. Like other mangaves, it grows more quickly than a true agave and stays at a manageable size, which makes it practical for smaller spaces or seasonal container displays. Plant in full sun to light shade and use a well-draining soil or cactus mix. Minimal supplemental watering is needed during dry spells after establishment, and the plant requires little routine maintenance beyond removing any spent outer leaves.
