SilkSHIELD is untinted, at SPF 30 with 19.95% zinc oxide and TriHex Technology peptides, so it is the higher-zinc, no-colour option. HydraTint Pro is a tinted SPF 36 with 3.4% zinc oxide and a luminous glow. Does it leave a white cast? Despite the high zinc load it is milled to blend sheer and absorbs quickly, which is what the name refers to. Applying it in two thin layers rather than one thick one helps on deeper tones. Where does it sit in my routine? Last, every morning. Cleanse, serum, moisturizer, then this. Wear it alone or under make-up. Can I use it on sensitive skin? ALASTIN formulates it fragrance-free and oil-free with a single mineral filter, and states it may be used on sensitive skin, including skin after a professional in-office treatment. Ask your provider about timing after a treatment. Why does a sunscreen contain peptides? The same TriHex Technology used across the ALASTIN range is built into the base, so the daily protection step also carries the peptide support found in the brand’s serums and moisturizers.
