Silicone Starter Cup: Sage

Cheers to baby’s first cup! The Bumkins Silicone Starter Cup is a two-ounce open cup for babies uniquely made to support the transition from bottles to big-kid cups. Our two-ounce open cup design is sized for little hands with textured ridges, making it easier for babies to grip. At the same time, the sloped interior helps control the liquid flow for safer drinking as little learns to take sips independently. Markings on the transparent silicone let you measure baby’s progress, and the weighted bottom reduces tipping, meaning fewer spills for you to clean up! Open cup drinking helps develop muscles in baby's mouth to prepare for speech and strengthen swallowing. Start baby with small amounts of liquid in the open cup, then gradually increase as they learn to drink independently. Try our Silicone Straw Cup with Lid when ready for the next stage! The Bumkins Jelly Silicone Collection is made from 100% food-safe, LFGB-grade silicone, which is tested to higher standards than regular FDA-grade silicone. Because of this, LFGB-grade silicone inherently uses less additives or fillers, is less likely to impact the smell or taste of food, and has a higher durability compared to FDA-grade silicone, resulting in a more premium product. You can read more about the differences between the two grades here.
