SILICONE PIE SHIELD

From the company: Mrs. Anderson's Baking Pie Crust Protector Shield helps achieve evenly baked pies with beautifully golden-brown crusts by covering exposed edges during baking to reduce burning and over-browning while allowing pies to rise properly in the center. Made from nonstick European-grade silicone, the shield fits 9.5-inch and 10-inch pie plates and works equally well with baking dishes that feature fluted edges or carrying handles. Subjected to a high standard of testing, European-grade silicone is stronger and more durable to withstand everyday stress and strain, and maintains non-stick performance, elasticity, and flexibility longer to help hold the original shape. Ideal for frozen pies, homemade pies, apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, quiche, tarts, and blind baking empty crusts for classic fillings like coconut cream, lemon meringue, and chocolate pie, this shield delivers reliable results for everyday baking, holiday baking, and entertaining. Flexible, non-stick silicone releases easily and simplifies cleanup. Safe for use in the freezer and oven (-90 to 570-degrees Fahrenheit), as well as the microwave and dishwasher. Simply place the shield over the crust; it stays securely in place until baking is complete. More convenient and economical than using aluminum foil, this dependable baking accessory cleans up easily in the dishwasher.
