Silencios latentes

Silencios latentes Juan Antonio Guirado (1932–2010) 1999 Mixed media on paper 64 x 50 cm / 25 1/4 x 19 3/4 in Catalog number: JAG/P 217 – INTRA ABS 01 Provenance: Guirado Estate Collection Location of artwork: USA / UK (please enquire) Framing: Unframed Price: $14,500 USD Description A quietly powerful work from Guirado’s Intrarealist period, Silencios latentes explores the tension between stillness and internal movement. Layered with tonal depth and subtle shifts in form, the composition evokes a suspended emotional state — a visual meditation on silence, anticipation, and the unseen forces shaping perception. Created in 1999 and later included in the exhibition Re Birth – The Third Eye (Fundación PONS, Madrid, 2015), the work reflects a mature phase of the artist’s practice, where philosophical inquiry and painterly restraint come into balance. Today, it resonates strongly with a renewed global interest in contemplative abstraction and the psychological landscape.
