Silberzwerg Sitka Spruce

Silberzwerg Sitka Spruce gives you bold color and dependable structure without demanding a lot of space. Its dense, bluish needles create a striking two-tone effect, with silvery blue on one side and dark green on the reverse. That contrast gives the plant a richer, brighter look than many evergreens. With a broad upright form and a slow growth rate of just 3-6 inches per year, it adds lasting beauty at a pace that is easy to manage. It also resists browsing deer, which makes it an even more useful choice for many home landscapes. Brings stronger color to the landscape Some evergreens offer texture but not much color contrast. Silberzwerg gives you both. Its dense needles show silvery blue along with dark green, creating a layered look that catches the eye in every season. That two-tone effect helps this plant stand apart in borders, foundation plantings and mixed evergreen beds. When you want year-round color that feels fresh and refined, this spruce gives you more visual impact. Stays easier to place and easier to enjoy Fast-growing evergreens can quickly outgrow their spot. Silberzwerg grows just 3-6 inches per year, so you get a slower, steadier plant that is easier to work into your landscape plan. Its broad upright habit gives you presence and structure, while the measured growth rate helps it stay in scale longer. That means less worry about crowding nearby plants or losing the shape you wanted. Keeps your garden looking fuller year-round Because the foliage is very dense, Silberzwerg adds substance as well as color. It helps planting areas look more finished, even in seasons when flowers and deciduous shrubs are not at their peak. In full sun, its needle color and thick growth make it a strong focal point or a dependable anchor in a mixed planting. Adds confidence in deer-prone areas Deer browsing can quickly spoil the look of an evergreen. Silberzwerg resists browsing deer, helping it hold its neat, attractive appearance with less frustration for you. For many gardeners, that added reliability is a major benefit.
