Sigma PUV-21 Water-Resistant Protector & UV Filter (52mm)

The Sigma PUV-21 Water-Resistant Protector & UV Filter (52mm) combines optical protection with ultraviolet light filtration in a redesigned form that complements the appearance and performance of Sigma lenses. Built for photographers who want dependable everyday protection, the filter helps safeguard the front element while maintaining clean, natural-looking image quality. Constructed from clear optical glass, the PUV-21 absorbs ultraviolet light to help reduce the bluish cast that can appear when shooting in daylight. This makes it particularly useful for outdoor, landscape, and travel photography while providing an additional layer of protection for the lens. The filter helps shield the front element against dust, dirt, and scratches, reducing direct exposure of the lens surface to everyday environmental hazards. A water-resistant optical coating also helps repel liquids, providing additional protection when shooting around moisture or in changing outdoor conditions. An improved surface treatment on the metal filter frame helps reduce internal reflections for clean image reproduction. Sigma's updated low-profile design further helps minimize unwanted vignetting, including when the filter is paired with compatible ultrawide-angle lenses. Combining 52mm compatibility, UV absorption, water-resistant protection, clear optical glass, reduced internal reflections, and a low-profile frame, the Sigma PUV-21 Water-Resistant Protector & UV Filter provides a practical way to protect your lens while helping maintain accurate, high-quality imagery.
