Sideways Palm Tree

While driving down a road on the North Shore of Kauai, a leaning palm tree caught photographer Pierson Oglesby’s eye.   This palm tree was different from ones he was accustomed to. It was growing sideways. The way the tree hung over the water rather than straight up above it convinced Pierson that it would make a great print. And he was right. He angled his drone to show the water under the tree to get this shot. “It almost looks photoshopped, but it’s not,” he says. It’s not every day you see a palm tree leaning over water in the most beautiful way, but with this print hanging in your home, it can be.
