Shunyata Research Eiger-X Power Distributor Alpha X Package

ALPHA-X PACKAGE Includes: Eiger-X + Alpha-X XC C19 Power Cable + SSF-38 Isolation Feet RARIFIED AIR The Eiger-X is a six-outlet power distributor based on the revolutionary Everest-X design platform. Eiger-X is more compact in stature with two fewer outlets, but possesses the  same patented technologies that earned Everest-X its legendary status within the pro-recording and music industry communities.  Externally, the Eiger-X tower is shorter than its massive sibling, yet features a tour-de-force of patented science and custom engineered parts and materials. At the Eiger-X's core is the patented QRBB circuit, which delivers peak-energy to components more efficiently than they can receive it from the wall outlet. The QRBB circuit infuses sound with newfound energy, dimension and time accuracy, leading to the impression of effortless scale and dynamics in sound. The Noise Isolation Chamber and CCI filters in Eiger-X measurably lower noise, allowing previously obscured detail nuance to emerge from recordings. For the first time, the patent-pending TAPc has been added to the Eiger-X design. TAPc breaks up EMI noise, preventing it from distorting critical aspects of the recorded audio or video signal. TAPc adds a vivid sense of depth to reproduced sound in ways no other technology has even hinted at. Layering these technologies together eliminates multiple vectors of noise that would otherwise distract from the listening or viewing experience. Eiger-X sports two ground posts on its rear panel, both of which are connected internally to the Ground Plane Noise Reduction System (GPNR). The GPNR not only reduces ground plan noise for all connected electronics, but will also drop the noise floor for components plugged into a separate dedicated line and connected via ground cables.   Eiger-X's greatest two attributes are its scientific innovation and incendiary value, coming in at under half the cost of Shunyata Research's Reference tower model. Despite its dramatically lower price, Eiger-X retains a significant portion of Everest-X's most consequential technologies and performance. The design goal behind the Eiger-X was to create a power distributor at a real-world price that demonstrated the enormous impact Shunyata Research finest technologies have on system performance. REACHING FOR THE SKY Similar to Shunyata Research's larger power-distributor icon, Everest-X, Eiger-X reduces multiple forms of power-line noise, bringing a tactile presence to sound that adds a physically interactive element to the listening experience.  When using Eiger-X as the power source there is an immediate and profound increase in background silence as instruments and voice emerge as more fully formed entities, free of distortions that will otherwise homogenize recordings. There is an immersive depth to the sound field as complex layers of sound become more organized, more distinct and accessible to the listener. There is an immersive quality to sound reproduction as both the recorded width and depth of recordings unfold and expand once fine layers of distortion are removed from the power line. The improved pitch articulation of instruments should also become more notable as the timing, or coming and going of transient energy becomes more accurate, more precise. This will be especially notable in the lower octaves, where air movement and impact of instruments are the easiest to notice. Overall, Eiger-X imparts a more seamless, coherent picture of how sound should be, without the inherent power-line and component generated noise that can otherwise become part of the audio signal itself. This is what separates Eiger-X from all other products at and far beyond its more modest price class. *Optional SSF-38 footer shown in photos GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY TAPc (Transverse Axial Polarizer) is a patent-pending technology that couples to the electromagnetic fields surrounding electrical or signal conductors. TAPc behaves like a polarizer, passively reducing electromagnetic distortion that presents as a type of glare on sound or images. The sonic impact of TAPc is unmistakable. There is a profound drop in perceived noise floor, effortlessly portrayed dynamics and an immediate improvement in the rendering of timing and coherency in sound. These performance elements are unique to TAPc and remain unaddressed by competing technologies of any kind. Even casual listeners can recognize the effect TAPc has upon first listen. Results are consistent across a wide range of components and systems. Essentially, the TAPc modules act as force multipliers, elevating the listening experience to levels many would not have thought possible. The QR/BB™ is a patented device which dramatically enhances the perception of dynamic impact and timing when connected to amplifiers or other high-current electronics. The QR/BB™ is unique in that it provides a local reserve of energy, or Coulomb charge, that mitigates the inductive reactance of the AC power line without using coils, transformers or capacitors. The QR/BB™ acts as an instantaneous energy reserve when placed in-line with an AC power supply. — Patent Number: US 10,031,536 — GPNR (Ground Plane Noise Reduction) is an advanced ground noise filtering system engineered to reduce high-frequency interference that pollutes the ground plane of audio and video systems. GPNR provides continuous ground-plane noise reduction for all connected components, with no setup required. Components connected to the power distributor’s CGS (Chassis Grounding System) terminal via an external ground cable can access even higher performance by providing an ultra low impedance path to the GPNR filtration system. This enhances noise dissipation beyond what is possible through the standard AC ground path alone. By cleaning the system’s ground plane, GPNR dramatically lowers the system’s noise floor, preserving clarity, enhancing timing precision, and revealing subtle musical and spatial detail. KPIP v2™ Shunyata Research’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process includes four days of continuous KPIP v2™ processing which refines conductor metals at the atomic level. This dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation. When compared to the original process, KPIP v2™ represents a dramatic performance upgrade on par with a component-level upgrade. The NIC™ (Noise Isolation Chamber) is a patented Shunyata Research device that reduces high frequency power line noise. It employs a ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high frequency noise without any of the reactive negatives associated with transformers and large capacitors as used in conventional power conditioners. ~ Patent US 8,658,892 ~ CCI™ filters have the unique ability to reduce component-generated power line noise without inhibiting DTCD® (dynamic transient current delivery). This unique filter element prevents power line noise from one component contaminating the other adjacent electronic components. Shunyata Research’s CCI™ filter modules consist of proprietary multi-stage filters that reduce power supply-generated noise without the use of heavy transformers, coils or large capacitors. DTCD® Analysis is a proprietary measurement technique developed to measure instantaneous current flow through very low impedance electrical conductors and contacts. It is used to optimize the design of electrical parts and materials, ensuring optimal instantaneous current delivery. DTCD® Analysis gives Shunyata Research a clear competitive advantage in the design and development of high performance power delivery products.
