Shun Kanso 9" Bread Knife

The Shun Kanso 9" Bread Knife has a long, serrated bread that will cut through everything from a crusty loaf of bread to a fresh tomato without tearing or crushing it. The wide serrations on this beautiful knife keep the crumbs down, and also make it the perfect tool for slicing cakes and pastries. The Kanso line of Shun knives was designed based on Zen philosophy, and its name means "simplicity." Shun took only the most essential elements of a knife - high-performance steel, razor-sharp edge, perfect balance and precision cutting control - and created a simple line of knives that provides simply perfect performance. The Tagayasan hard wood handle is contoured for the chef's grip and precision cutting. Tagayasan, known as "iron sword wood," was traditionally used in crafting Samurai sword handles.
