Shrimp

Fossil shrimp are fascinating remnants of ancient marine ecosystems, offering valuable insights into the evolution and diversity of decapod crustaceans. Dating back over 350 million years to the Carboniferous period, shrimp fossils reveal a remarkable story of adaptation, specialization, and resilience. Their elongated, streamlined bodies, delicate legs, and fan-like tails make shrimp well-suited for swimming and a variety of feeding strategies, which are reflected in both ancient and modern forms. Due to the natural variation between fossils, the specimen you receive may look different from the ones photographed.
