The compact design makes it more stable sitting in your mold. In addition, it won’t be in your way as you move between molds (we all hate accidentally knocking things over and make a mess). The handle is design for easy grabbing and moving.  To clean, just wipe with a paper towel after each pour. The material is very easy to clean.  Each ruler has markers up to 2 in.
