Shop Fox 1 5/8" Adjustable Block Plane

D3832 1-5/8" Adjustable Block Plane Adjustable and effective at slicing end grain and soft woods. The Shop Fox D3832 1-5/8" Adjustable Block Plane is ideal for fine-trimming moulding and boards where the end grain is troublesome. Typically, small enough to be used with one hand, adjustable block planes are versatile hand tools. Originally used to surface the end grain of butcher’s blocks, this block plane can true up miters, chamfer sharp edges, smooth milling marks, and clean up glue lines. The D3832 can trim small amounts of wood from the edges of doors to fit them more precisely into cabinets or even entryways. The blade is set at a low cutting angle, with the bevel facing up, so this block plane is especially effective at slicing end grain and soft woods. Cast-iron construction and accurate adjustments make this plane the perfect tool for on the job-site or in the shop. Like all Shop Fox planes, the D3832 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. The Woodstock Customer Service and Technical Support Teams are U.S. based. Parts for the plane are available online and shipped from the Woodstock parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.
