Shimoda DV Roller with Padded Inserts

Overview The Shimoda DV Roller isn’t just a suitcase—it’s a rugged, purpose-built mobile basecamp for professional underwater cinematographers and imaging specialists. Designed to bridge the gap between “getting there” and “getting the shot,” this roller is engineered to house the largest DSLR and mirrorless underwater housings, along with cinema-style camera bodies and oversized lenses that standard camera bags simply can’t accommodate. Purpose-built for serious underwater production, it is the first carry-on roller designed to allow a 230mm dome port to sit fully upright—eliminating awkward packing angles and freeing up space for other critical optical components. The DV Roller holds the optional Extra Large DV Core Unit, creating a customizable, protective interior capable of securing the largest housings, ports, lighting, and essential accessories—while keeping your most valuable gear safe. Built for the realities of dive travel, remote expeditions, and demanding production environments, this isn’t just transport—it’s protection, organization, and confidence on the move. Features Deep-Volume Design: Specifically built to accommodate the Shimoda DV (Digital Video) Core Units. This extra depth allows you to pack tall camera rigs like a RED, ARRI, or Sony FX series without having to strip down your cages or top handles Built for Rough Terrain: Most rollers die on gravel or cobblestones. The DV Roller features oversized 100mm shock-absorbing wheels that glide over rough surfaces, ensuring your delicate equipment is secure when you reach the location Weather Protection: The exterior is crafted from water-resistant Carbonate Ether coated nylon, making it nearly impervious to the elements. The side panels are reinforced to maintain their shape, providing a rigid protective shell for your gear. Smart Access: A doctor-bag style opening means the bag doesn't take up a massive footprint when open. You get full, unobstructed access to your gear while keeping the bag's profile slim in tight spaces. Removable Core Unit System: Swap out your video kit for a still-photo setup in seconds. The modular nature allows you to use the roller as general luggage if you're traveling light Extending Handle: A heavy-duty aluminum trolley handle that fully supports the bag loaded to its 50lb+ limit Dual Side Pockets: Perfect for tripods, light stands, or even a water bottle. Each pocket features a compression strap to keep your external gear cinched tight. Specifications Warranty: 5 Years Weight: 8.33lb / 3.78kg Outside Dimensions (in): 12.6W x 23.6H x 11.8D in.
