Shimoda Carry-On Roller V2 - Black

Overview Forget everything you know about clunky, pavement-only rolling suitcases. The Shimoda Carry-On Roller is built for traveling photographers who need to move safely from airport terminals to boats, docks, and remote dive destinations with a full underwater camera system. Constructed with the same mountain-tough materials used in Shimoda’s renowned adventure backpacks, this roller is designed to protect delicate underwater housings, ports, strobes, and accessories while keeping your gear organized and easy to access during travel. The bag is carry-on compatible on most international airlines and pairs perfectly with the Shimoda Large DSLR Core Unit, creating a highly organized system capable of safely transporting professional underwater imaging equipment. Example Underwater System Capacity With the Large DSLR Core Unit installed, the Carry-On Roller can accommodate a compact professional underwater setup such as: Full-frame Sony underwater housing Flat port 2× strobes or video lights 2× float arms 2× standard double ball arms 6× clamps 2× fiber optic cables This configuration keeps your essential shooting kit protected, organized, and ready to deploy when you arrive at your destination. Whether you're packing for a tropical reef expedition or a remote liveaboard trip, the Shimoda Carry-On Roller keeps your underwater camera system protected and ready to shoot the moment you arrive. Features Deep-Volume Design Built to accommodate Shimoda Large DSLR Core Units, giving underwater photographers the space needed to safely pack camera bodies, underwater housings, ports, strobes, and lenses in one organized travel system. Built for Rough Terrain Dive travel rarely ends at the airport. Oversized 100mm shock-absorbing wheels roll smoothly over docks, gravel paths, and cobblestones, protecting your sensitive optical ports and electronics along the way. Weather Protection The exterior uses water-resistant Carbonate Ether coated nylon, helping shield your camera system from rain, sea spray, and humid travel environments. Reinforced side panels maintain the bag’s structure, providing extra protection for delicate camera gear. Smart Access A doctor-bag style opening provides wide access to your equipment without requiring a large footprint. This makes it easy to organize housings, ports, strobes, and accessories while working in tight hotel rooms, camera tables, or dive boats. Removable Core Unit System Shimoda’s modular Core Unit system allows you to quickly swap between camera kits. Remove the insert to convert the roller into general travel luggage or configure it for different underwater setups depending on the trip. Heavy-Duty Extending Handle A durable aluminum trolley handle easily supports the bag even when fully loaded with a complete underwater camera system. Dual Side Pockets External pockets are ideal for tripods, light stands, or float arms, with compression straps to keep equipment secure during transit.
