Designed to battle the toughest saltwater species, the Shimano Tranx 500 Casting Reels deliver the power and line capacity of a conventional reel coupled with the comfort of a low profile. Employing a team of Shimano’s signature technologies, the Shimano Tranx 500 Casting Reels are outfitted with X-Ship, HEG, and HAGANE, which provide a rugged platform that won’t flex or torque under incredibly heavy loads to create buttery smooth performance and massive cranking power.  No matter if you’re chasing bluefin tuna, musky, or peacock bass, the Shimano Tranx 500 Casting Reels pack an incredible 25lbs of drag power thanks to its Cross Carbon Drag System to stop hard fighting fish dead in their tracks. The Super Free Spool and VBS braking system also deliver next-level free spool for fly lining live bait or making super long casts to foaming schools of fish. Backed by double-shielded bearings that protect against harsh saltwater environments, the Shimano Tranx 500 Casting Reels provide bulletproof performance that sets the bar in terms of raw power and durability. -Cross Carbon Drag -HEG -HAGANE Body -S A-RB -Super Free Spool -VBS -X-Ship Model Retrieve Gear Ratio Inches Per Turn Weight Line Cap.
