Shimano Grappler Type C A Spinning Rods

Shimano Grappler Type C A Spinning Rods Designed to maximize opportunity, the fully redesigned Grappler Type C series leverages Shimano’s premium rod technologies and a new blank design to deliver versatile casting performance when launching topwater and subsurface lures. The Grappler Type C series incorporates Shimano’s Spiral X and Hi-Power X technologies to provide enhanced compressional and torsional rigidity for increased catching power without the added weight. The series incorporates a V-Hold front grip design to enhance the overall angling experience by increasing rod stability and comfort when fighting hard-charging game fish. A vital piece of the tackle system for chasing boiling tuna or targeting the upper part of the water column in fishy situations, the refined Grappler Type C provides versatility and performance for increased success on the water. Situations change: Fish move up in the water column, potentially boiling on the surface and jigging rods are no longer the ideal tool for the job. But that’s when the Grappler Type C, an offshore spinning rod for launching Shimano’s ORCA topwater and subsurface lures to pelagics, gets called into action. Grappler Type C rods utilize Shimano’s highest performing rod blank technologies, Spiral X and Hi-Power X, and are 250% more structurally rigid and 180% less prone to twisting than rods built with standard blank construction. Be prepared for an epic battle with Grappler Type C. The Shimano Grappler Type C rods are a perfect match for Shimano’s saltwater spinning reels like Saragosa, Twin-Power and Stella. Grappler Type C rods feature a unique 2 piece construction to easily transport them, breaking down just above the foregrip, the blank slides into the forward grip to make this the strongest possible junction. SPIRAL X Technology: Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano’s patented Spiral X construction enhances catching power for anglers. Spiral X construction consists of three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibers as well as inner and outer layers, both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fiber sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced compression rigidity and increased torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fish fighting. HI-POWER X Technology: Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of “X” shapes on the rod blank’s outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.   Model Length Power Action Braid Rating Lure Rating Pieces Foregrip Length Reargrip Length Grip Material Guides GRPCS82MHA 8’2″ Medium Heavy Fast 65lb MAX. 4.5oz MAX. 2 7.8″ 16.7″ EVA Fuji Alconite GRPCS82HA 8’2″ Heavy Fast 80lb MAX. 5.5oz MAX. 2 7.8″ 16.7″ EVA Fuji Alconite GRPCS82XHA 8’2″ Extra Heavy Fast 100lb MAX. 7oz MAX. 2 7.8″ 16.7″ EVA Fuji Alconite
