Shilton Sr Fly Reel

The SR Saltwater Series designed rugged to perform in remote environments The Shilton SR Series have been designed from the ground up with the saltwater angler in mind. It provides rugged functionality with high grade 6082 T6 aluminum to give anglers the edge needed in any saltwater scenario. The overall diameter of the cork drag has been increased, resulting in less start-up inertia and more stopping power; and an additional enclosed one-way plunger (from 2 to 3) for extra drag engagement and durability. Sizes SR9, SR10 and SR12 are available for line weights 9, 10, 11 and 12. This is the reel of choice for many anglers as it features a modern appearance with a simple, robust and “bulletproof” design. The SR range matches both single handed and double handed rods. Anglers will appreciate the incoming and outgoing audible click. The SR series is offered in titanium, black, blue, turquoise, purple, red, burnt gold or custom color. ABOUT SHILTON REELS: The founder of Shilton Reels, Tony Fritelli, who is also an avid fly fisherman, noticed a need in the fly fishing market back in 1997. Combining his engineering expertise and his extensive knowledge of what was missing in other fly reels, he designed the first reel of the Shilton CL Series. Enjoying wide success and popularity of the CL, Shilton Reels began R&D on a saltwater range. The challenges of saltwater reels to be solved included sand getting into the drag system, the build-up of salt in the reel, and of course, the need for the smoothest drag possible to stop the beasts of the flats. This brought about the SL and more recently the SR Series. The easily accessible full open cork drag system makes it is easy for you to clean and service your reels in seconds without even taking your reel off your rod. Shilton has a full selection of replacement parts, meaning you don’t even need to send your reel in to be repaired – you can do it yourself!
