Our shield pendant is cast from an antique pendant our designer, Elizabeth Adams, discovered. The shield shape has long been a symbol of protection and strength. In the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul speaks of the “shield of faith.” This symbolism made the shield the perfect choice for Elizabeth when developing the ExVoto logo. Plated in 18K gold with our Forever Finish, allowing for extended wear without tarnish. Our gold plating is a special formula with a matte luster for a look of vintage patina, as opposed to a high-shine surface. Each piece of ExVoto is plated in the same gold plating formula so that they can be worn together, however the depth of the patina may vary slightly between chain styles.
