Sheridan Style Leaf Liner Leather Stamp, Stamping Tool

The leaf liner is a tool that was developed by those who specialize in Sheridan Style carving. It produces diagonal lines along a leaf stem that adds a dramatic flow to the design. This is also a great tool putting the texture on feathers. This tool is stamped with "Hide Crafter", "PB016", and "USA". The sharp, crisp detail in this stamp, produces results that will give your leaves or feathers a distinctive look. This is a stamp that is in the collection of many professional leather carvers. This tool should not be struck with a weighted maul as this stamp is made of a lightweight metal, likely zinc, and could possibly bend or break. Using a wooden, rawhide or poly mallet is recommended to avoid damaging this particular stamp.
